Slipknot was the song which we now know as (SIC). But this is the MFKR Version. hey, i got the MFKR songs from: www.slipknot-metal.com you'll find them there MFKR was released on Halloween (31st Oct) 1996. The band Slipknot was formed by Shawn Crahan, (he was the original Drummer before Joey joined) the vocalist Anders Colsefini and the Bass Guitarist Paul Gray. The members when MFKR was recorded were: Anders Colsefini -- Lead Vocals Donnie Steele -- Lead Guitar Josh Brainard -- Rhythm Guitar Backup Vocals Joey Jordison -- Drums Shawn Crahan -- Percussion, Backup Vocals Paul Gray -- Bass, Backup Vocals Unfortunately, they only had one show with their original Lead Guitarist, Donnie. This was Slipknot was getting heavier and heavier, darker and darker, and simply unhonourable. This effected Donnie's religion, as he was a Christian, and left for religious purposes. So they recruited Craig Jones, which would play Lead Guitar. But they asked him to move to Samples + Electronics, so then they could have Mick Thompson on Lead Guitar. The lineup was now: Anders Colsefini - Lead Vocals + Tribal Percussion. Mick Thompson - Lead Guitar Craig Jones - Samples/Electronics Josh "Gnar" Brainard - Rhythm Guitar + Backing Vocals Paul Gray - Bass + Backing Vocals Shawn Crahan - Custom/Power Percussion + Backing Vocals Joey Jordison - Lead Drums After that, Shawn believed he wanted a more radio-friendly voice but still have Anders in the band. They recruited Corey to do Lead Vocals and ...

I love their old sound, except Anders. He's okay, but he's no Corey. I love the first album the best(Self-titled) because it was so aggressive. If Corey had sung this song it may be my favorite, but I'm still going with Snap

Anders Colsefini

who is that singer?
July 17, 2010 at 11:22 am
ok... im not surprised that it sounds like (sic) because (sic) is like a remastered version because corey didn't record slipknot. also, listen to carve and then listen to before i forget, despise and purity, diluted and interloper... etc.
you will find alot of songs in slipknot history that sound similar to their demo tracks. happens with alot of bands, but slipknot's demo albums are actually able to get your hands on through mp3.

Corey is definitely a better singer by far. His screams are far more superior than Anders. But Anders does have his great moments, like in this song. His voice is deeper, and more "dark metal-ish", which is great to hear at times. I like both singers a lot, but each singer is made for different songs. I think it would be interesting to have them alternate on songs. Anders is a better growler, and Corey is a better singer/screamer.

they didn't cut him. they needed a singer who could handle more melodic singing, so they brought corey in and moved anders to backing vocals and percussion, and anders wasn't satisfied with this, so he left
